The 1912 Homestead is located in Platte County just outside of Wheatland, Wyoming and was first started in the year 1912. It was originally bought and used for homesteading purposes, but in later years it was used as a dairy farm and as for hay and sheep raising. Throughout its lifespan, it has been reduced in land size, had a number of buildings and other structures put up and torn down, and had numerous tress planted for both harvesting and for blocking wind. All of these measures have changed the property significantly over the years resulting in what now stands today. This website will include a brief history of the homestead, a layout of the property as seen now, and information on the various owners over the years, Platte county, and Wheatland.
