Meyer Ownership
Edward Meyer with his wife, Mary, bought the homestead from the Gormans in 2012, the year of the property's 100th birthday. The family has two children, Marissa and James, as well as numerous pets living on the homestead. Before purchasing the property Edward was in the military and due to this, lived in a various different places before coming to Wyoming. Their last place of residence before purchasing and moving to the property was in Kansas.
Since purchasing the homestead, a number of new gardens have been added, a pig pen has been built, the old birthing pens have begun to be torn down, and overgrown trees branches have begun to be cleared.

In 2015, the Meyers began selling various vegetables and other fresh foods produced from the gardens in the local Platte County Wheatland's Farmer's Market as well as eggs from the chicken flock kept on the property.
